Bad Astronaut ist ein 2000 gegr?ndetes Side-Project von Joey Cape, dem S?nger von Lagwagon und Mitglied von Me First and the Gimme-Gimmes. Die Band ist eine Indie-Rock Band, in der viel mit Akustikgitarren gearbeitet wird. Die Band brachte bis jetzt 3 Alben heraus: "Acrophobe" (2001), "Houston: We Have A Drinking Problem" (2002) und "Twelve Small Steps, One Giant Disappointment" (2006). Es werden wahrscheinlich keine weiteren Alben folgen, da sich der Drummer der Band, Derrick Plourde, auch fr?herer Drummer von Lagwagon, in der Arbeit am Album "Twelve Small Steps, One Giant Disappointment" erh?ngte. Weshalb wei? man nicht.

Auf jeden Fall: "Twelve Small Steps, One Giant Disappointment", das Album wurde vor und nach Derrick Plourdes Tod aufgemommen.
