bon jovi w?rden vor neid erblassen, das ist ja feinster stadionrock f?r den n?chsten familienausflug

ansonsten finde ich solche statements auch etwas affig. ich kann nachvollziehen, dass man der sache entw?chst, ging mir ja nicht anders. aber sich hinzustellen und zu meinen, dass man diese ganze szene ja gar nicht versteht, haha, das ist mehr als l?cherlich. naja, ist mir im endeffekt auch egal. niemand kann musikern einen vorwurf machen, wenn sie ihren stil ?ndern bzw. irgendwann keine lust mehr auf krawall haben. einen faden beigeschmack hat ein solcher "stilwechsel" allerdings immer. sieht aus wie major, riecht wie major, schmeckt wie major, hmm, dann wirds wohl eines sein.

Die Waliser von Funeral For A Friend wollen demn?chst eine neue EP und in absehbarer Zeit auch ein neues Album ver?ffentlichen. In Sachen Label ist man sich allerdings noch unsicher. Die Gedanken dazu haben FFAF in ihrem Blog gepostet:

Album/EP update

Happy Friday. Hope you've got that Friday feeling. TGI Friday. Friday I'm in Love. Tell me why I don't like Mondays.

But seriously...

So last week we were getting all excitable about all the album and EP-ness. I think this week we're about to explode in a very positive, non-sexual way.

The plan was- let's write and demo an EP before mid-Feb. 'That would be rad' we thought to ourselves. And that WOULD have been rad...

INSTEAD we've gone and bloody wrote and demoed almost half an album already!And it's only bloody January. Actually it's the first day of February but you know what I mean, don't be pedantic (official FFAF word of the day).

So, in anticipation of some of your questions and judging by the songs we've got down so far- here's a little mini FAQ

Q: Does it sound more like Tales, Hours or Casually Dressed?

A: It sounds very different to all of those records. For an overall "vibe" it's closer to Casually Dressed than anything- just taken a lot further.

Q: Will it be heavier than Tales?

A: Yes

Q: Will it be as technical as '7 Ways'/ Casually Dressed/Hours?

A: No, it's much tastier than that.

Q. Will there be more riffs?

A. Yep

Q. Aggressive vocals?

A. Yep

Q. Will it be another concept album?

A. Nope

Q. When will it be out?

A. September hopefully

Q. I'm really excited by all this.. are you?

A. Yes. Yes we are

haha, was f?r idioten. jetz auf ein mal doch heavier, lauter, mit geschrei. "ahhh das war nie unsere szene, wir haben das nicht erfunden und auch nicht mitgemacht. was soll dieses geschreie immer?!". was spaten

Pah aber deinen Musikgeschmack verleugnen...oder fandste die anfangs etwa nicht toll?

Meine schon da was in die Richtung gelesen zu haben. Freuen wir uns doch einfach, dass sie die "alten Zeiten" durch eine EP aufleben lassen

ich fand die fr?her grandios, wirklich! w?rde ich auch nie abstreiten, da ich immer erz?hlen kann "die hab ich ja schon im Jahr XXXX live gesehen, da kannte die noch niemand"

ich finde allerdings auch wirklich nur die demos/eps und das erste album gut, die letzten beiden sind vollst?ndig an mir vor?ber gegangen

Funeral For A Friend haben bei Roadrunner Records (weltweit, EX-US / CA / UK) unterschrieben, die Platte kommt im Oktober 2008. Ryan Richards, Schlagzeug, dazu: ?At the risk of it sounding like a calculated press release I can honestly say that Roadrunner Records were THE label that got me into hard rock and heavy metal growing up. Having come full circle and established our own record label, it feels great to be working alongside people who have been responsible for putting out some of my favorite records of all time?.
